Review of Uncle Sam's Plantation

In this book Star Parker gives us a whole new perspective, on so many things. From poverty to the welfare system to the the definition of a person's true independence. Written in an extremely passionate voice, not only does she explore others stories, she also tells of her own plight, adding a heart-heartbreakingly personal touch.

Uncle Sam's Plantation mainly tells the reader the story of welfare, and how many people can start getting dependent on it, and can't find their way out, out of the vicious cycle of poverty. In a world where the gap between rich and poor are getting larger and larger, Parker tells us of the other side, and solutions to this cycle.

Overall a great book! 5/5
